Caymanian Cave Craze!

For such a small carbonate island, Little Cayman Island certainly isn’t lacking in geological complexity, or speleologic development. As we near the end of the REU program, my mentee and I are still finding all manner of karst and caves that are remarkable if for no other reason their sheer lack of reporting in the scientific literature. Thankfully, CCMI staff and other intrepid REU students were more than happy to help Scarlette and I survey a few caves around the island. Many hands make light work, and many lights make cave survey an illuminating experience.
